Which boats can you skipper with the PER?

The PER (Patrón de Embarcaciones de Recreo, the Spanish recreational skipper licence) lets you skipper leisure boats up to 15 metres in length and sail up to 12 nautical miles from the coast; with the additional practical training you can sail between the Balearic Islands and skipper boats up to 24 metres. It is the licence held by most owners of a cruiser or motor yacht of 9 to 15 metres.
