6 metre open boats and the Spanish licence

Published and reviewed on 21 October 2026 · Sea Moments

When choosing a six metre open boat, start with the day you want aboard. Walking space, shade and water access matter immediately; maximum horsepower does not tell you how comfortable passengers will be with coolers, bags and swimming equipment. Authorised capacity is a limit, not a recommended load for every condition. Check the layout with table and sunpad in the positions you will actually use.

The As Marine 20 GL Open measures 6 m overall and 5.99 m registered hull length, seats seven and is confirmed for Spain’s navigation licence. Sea Moments’ Suzuki 60 hp configuration costs €31,300 excluding VAT or €37,873 including VAT. That package’s installed power is not the hull’s maximum rating, which is listed separately. If you need a different engine, use the configurator and compare the resulting quote on the same tax and preparation basis.
